These are the partners that will have serving opportunities in 2018. For more information about each Non-profit or Ministries click their name below.

  • - OPERATION SAFE HAVEN -

    Operation Safe Haven seeks to bridge the gap and help our veterans make the transition after military service.  They have purchased a 277 acre campground in Franklinville, NJ with the goal to provide veterans with a place of rest and relaxation.  Veterans will be provided with various programs to help them adapt and overcome the struggles of PTSD.  They are constructing 300 square foot micro-houses on the property.

  • - M25 INITIATIVE -

    Code Blue has set up warming centers by host churches in Cumberland County. Community and church contributions are made to the M25 initiative.  M25 stands for Matthew 25:35-36, “For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I was sick, and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me”.

  • - SOUTH JERSEY DREAM CENTER -

    The South Jersey Dream Center is a non-profit that seeks to break the cycle of poverty. They focus on restoring dignity to individuals by providing services that meet basic needs such as food, clothing, baby and household items as well as professional, personal and spiritual development.

  • - CHOICES OF THE HEART -

    Choices of the Heart seeks to protect the unborn by empowering individuals in southern NJ to make healthy life choices.

  • - FOR DIGNITY -

    For Dignity is a ministry that reaches out to women in strip clubs and prisons with a message of hope, dignity and love.

  • - MISSION TEENS -

    Mission Teens is a Christian Discipleship ministry dedicated to helping people who struggle with life-controlling addictions by ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ to them.  There is no charge to those who come for help.  Our local mission is in Norma, NJ. However, we have partnered with The Mission across the nation and have a strong relationship with Mission Teens in Savannah, Georgia.

  • - NEIGHBOURHOOD CENTER -

    This organizations works towards breaking the cycle of poverty by offering Academic, Athletic and Arts programs for children and teenagers. Their programs provide a safe and fun space for children and teens to engage in activities that challenge them. In addition, they assist in providing food for several families and individuals in need.

    This organization seeks to provide clothing, food, toys, toiletries and more to those in need.

  • - URBAN PROMISE -

    The mission at Urban Promise has been to equip Camden's children and young adults with the skills necessary for academic achievement, life management, spiritual growth, and Christian leadership. They strive to fulfill this mission through after-school programs, summer camps, two schools, experiential learning, job training, and a host of other programs that challenge youth to develop and realize their potential.

you can sign up here.

  • - JANUARY -

    MISSION TEENS

    Meals with a Mission

     

    This opportunity is every month but is only through ReGroups. True North Regroups can sign up to make and share a meal with the Mission. The meal can be prepared in advance or at The Mission. The Regroup will stay and enjoy the meal with the folks at The Mission. Regroups can volunteer once or twice a year to make sure all 12 months are covered.

  • - FEBRUARY -

    CHOICES OF THE HEART

    Baby Bottle Blast

     

    Baby bottles will be distributed to regroups to fill with change/cash to help support this ministry. You can pick up bottles for your ReGroup and/or yourself from your Campus Pastor, ReGroup Captain or ReGroup Leader. Bottles should be turned in by the end of February.

  •  - MARCH  & APRIL -

    OPERATION BLESSING

    Building Beaumont

     

    Volunteers will be working in the Beaumont/Port Arthur areas of Texas. We require groups of 2 or more in order to reserve housing. All individuals must be 18 years old. You must provide your own airfare and transportation to and from the work sites and airports. The volunteer site is located at Cathedral Church in Beaumont, TX where they have allowed Operation Blessing a few large rooms for volunteer lodging. Cots are provided, and lodging/meals are provided free of charge. They will have shower trailers available. Volunteers work Monday-Saturday 8:30AM to 5:00PM, and on Sunday 1:00PM-5:00PM (which can be subject to change in order to allow volunteers to attend church services if they so choose). True North Church will provide $200 towards the cost of the trip to the first four individuals.

    SOUTH JERSEY DREAM CENTER

    Diaper Day

     

    We will be having a church-wide diaper drive on Mother’s day in order to bless mothers in need. Diapers will be collected at both locations and delivered to the South Jersey Dream Center for distribution.

  • - JUNE -

    OPERATION SAVE HAVEN

    Prepare for Vet Care

We will be participating in a work day to help clear the grounds for a home to be built.  This is open to everyone. Please bring rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, chainsaws, gloves, weed eaters and heavy-duty trash bags. There is also a need for anyone with specialized skills in construction, carpentry, plumbing, electricians etc.

  • - AUGUST -

    URBAN PROMISE & LOCAL SCHOOLS

    School Supply Drive

     

    We will continue with our church-wide school supply drive. Individuals are encouraged to bring school supplies to one of the 4 services between our Mantua and Haddon Campuses. We will be donating all supplies to some of the local schools along with Urban Promise in Pennsauken.

    FOR DIGNITY

    Sharing Hope

     

    Regroups will have the opportunity to support this ministry by making or purchasing small gifts that will be distributed to the women.  A list of appropriate items will be given to regroups leaders. Items will be collected in September to present to this ministry.

    DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT

    Take a Bit Out of Hunger

     

    South Jersey Dream Center is having their annual Dodgeball Tournament to Dodge Hunger. We have the opportunity to volunteer at the event or play in the tournament. If you have any interest in participating in the event, then sign up below.

  • - DECEMBER -

    ANGELS OF GOD

    Fill the Truck Toy Drive

     

    We will continue with our church-wide fill the truck toy drive. Individuals are encouraged to bring new toys to one of the 4 services between our Mantua and Haddon Campuses. Toys need to be unwrapped for distribution purposes. We will be filling up a box truck before donating all toys to the Angels of God in Pitman.
